Egerie_velo_moto were the saviours of AstonMTB’s year on the bike!

I had booked a front triangle build in August to replace the broken Supreme frames. Then, at the last minute, we decided to build a complete custom frame. Less than three weeks after sending in my numbers I had a custom-built one-off frame in my hands – a fantastic turnaround.

After all the sagas since starting AstonMTB, this frame from a garage builder in France has really put all the big brands to shame. All the review content of my bike will be coming over the next month while this competition is live. But for now, all you need to know is that this frame has been faultless: no cracks, no loose bolts, no chain loss and possibly the best all-around mountain bike I have ever ridden. Where the others failed after barely riding them, this weapon has been ridden really hard, the hardest I have ridden for years and still shows no weakness!

The lucky winner will have an amazing opportunity to build a frame exactly to their spec: everything from type of frame, sizing, geometry, technical spec and paint finish. All paid for by AstonMTB, the prize is limited to €2500, this is enough to cover a frame the same as mine painted in your choice of colours.
